FAQs

Do you have a minimum walk requirement?

At Tails of the Trails we do not have a minimum walk requirement per week and endeavour to fit all pooches in where possible. We understand that work schedules and personal plans change weekly meaning some week your pooch may require more walks then other weeks.

What areas do we cover?

We cover Lingfield, Dormansland, Felbrige, Felcourt, East Grinstead, Edenbridge to name a few. We also cover surrounding villages, subject to location and availability.

What qualifications do you hold?

We hold extensive knowledge and CPD accredited qualifications in: Canine Communication, Pet Psychology, Pet Sitting and Dog Walking along with Animal First Aid.

Are you insured?

As a professional, reliable and trustworthy animal-care provider we have full comprehensive insurance.

How many dogs do you walk in a group?

We have a number of group walks throughout the week that range in number of dogs, abilities and personalities. Our groups range from smaller duos and trios to larger groups of 6 pups. We ensure to group well-matched tails so each and every pup has the best time on our adventure walks.

Do you offer evening and weekend services?

We do indeed! We offer out-of-hour pop-ins after 5:30pm and have some limited weekend availability. However, these do incur a surcharge that will be discussed at the time of booking.

How long are the walks?

Our walks range from 30 minute solo walks to longer big trail group adventure walks that are 2 hours long.

Do you walk in all weather?

We do indeed - rain or shine, we are outside providing walks and exercise for your beloved pups. Should the weather become too hot or cold we schedule our walks around these temperatures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the pups. In such an event, you will be notified ahead of time to explain this.

Do you pick up / drop off the dogs?

We collect and drop off all the pooches right from their homes. We pop all pups back home in their safe place once at home, whether that be their crate, the kitchen or free rain in the house - each pooch is different and we will cover this in our complementary meet and greet.

Where do you walk?

We walk all pups in and around their local area to ensure short travel times and maximum fun-filled adventures.

Do you have a min / max age?

No, we accept dogs of all ages, abilities and breeds. We ensure to tailor all our walks to the capabilities of the pups in our care to ensure their safety, wellbeing and fun on our walks.

Do you wash the dogs?

As we walk in all weather conditions and often in fields the pooches can sometimes be quite muddy. We always towel off the pups and will rinse them with water where possible to endeavour to remove as much muck as possible after our exciting and action-packed walks.

What happens in case of an emergency?

Should an unlikely emergency occur we will provide immediate and appropriate action. If your pet needs veterinary care we will contact your named care professionals or the nearest vets.

Do I need to provide anything?

We ask for access to your pup's favourite lead/harness when we collect your pooch from their home. We always have poo bags and tasty treats on hand, along with water and water bowls.

Do I need to be home?

Once a service has been agreed and a complementary meet and greet completed, we are able to provide our services without your presence in the home. We ask that that a key is left in a safe and accessible place in your absence, such as a lock box.
